Microwave assisted chemical synthesis of Tin dioxide


Nanocrystalline SnO2 has been synthesized by liquid mix technique using citric acid as the complexing agent. The phase, size and purity of the resultant products were characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). Optical studies were carried out by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. The morphology and size was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Presences of functional groups are analyzed by using FTIR spectroscopy.
