Abstract
Seaports are one of the important infrastructures in the socio-economic development and security of national defense. In the current trend of international integration in the process of globalization, Vietnam's seaports need to be upgraded, and expanded in order to meet the rapidly increasing demand for imported and exported goods through ports. Vietnam has many favorable conditions for the development of seaports such as geographical location, trade relations, and the development of long-standing ports. Even in the future, with difficult challenges such as climate change, sea level rise, sea accretion, but if properly considered, Vietnam can maintain its advantage. Therefore, the development of seaports in Vietnam should be oriented in the future in the future rather than temporary solutions.
