Abstract

The contribution of the American Mission to the missionary movement in Maharashtra has been invaluable. It has nurtured orphans, widows and the poor through social reforms. The five young men who founded the Society of Brothers, including Gordon Hall, Samuel Knott and Mrs Knott, arrived at the port of Mumbai in 1813 and began a new chapter in Maharashtra.
The British government allowed Christian missionaries to preach through health and education. He led a sacrificial life and made invaluable contribution to the Christian missionary movement in Maharashtra. It is the ultimate duty and vision of a missionary to continue working in the faith of God, even if it means sacrificing one's life. Rev. Gordon Hall While serving the people at the Kumbh Mela in Nashik on March 20, 1826, he merged with Christ. He had only one dream, as Keshav Chandra Sen says, "Tejaswi hi Bharatbhoomi Ratna-Pari Kavanachi?" Jesus only; Only Jesus-Will and Jesus" The biggest responsibility of today's Christian missionaries is to bring Jesus throughout Maharashtra and India.
