Abstract

Christianity is a religion based on Christ and his teachings, and its basic purpose is to preach the Great Commandment preached by Christ. The missionary movement spread throughout the world from the seventeenth century onwards. In India, the Charter Act of 1811 gave momentum to that movement. The caste system and social system in India was also complex and therefore Christianity is a foreign or European religion. Such an understanding was made. India was ruled by the British for many years. Some people misunderstand that the British are Christian missionaries. But the British were different and Christian missionaries were different. The East India Company's policy was to empower the lower castes by bringing physical imperialism and health, education and financial empowerment to Christian missionaries. The concept of nation was not born. But now every nation is a sovereign nation and India is also included in the sovereign nation. Therefore, conversion does not lead to nation or emigration. Now people of every caste-religion are equal as Indian citizens.
