Safety issues in maritime operation in Vietnam in the basis of International regulations

Abstract

In the field of maritime safety, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has issued the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) to ensure the safety of life at sea. This Convention lays down a number of provisions that all Contracting States must ensure that their vessels operating on the open sea are equipped with minimal equipment to ensure navigation, Special emergency call in case of trouble. In order to be able to implement the provisions of the SOLAS Convention, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the IMO have jointly developed the GMDSS system to provide emergency signaling services in the event of a malfunction. Receiving emergency signal from the radio buoy when the incident boat sank, the float automatically pop up signal generator rescues the global signal and transmitted to the search and rescue center to request relief. The article discusses all related issues in Vietnamese goods on the basis of international conventions.
