In recent years, despite the difficulties caused by the global economic crisis, logistics has developed in many countries due to the inevitability of the era and utilities that it brings to human society, including Vietnam. According to the evaluation of many world research and development organizations, in the next few years, the marine economy will recover and accompany them with seaport development, container transportation and globalization of logistics. Logistics into Vietnam nearly 2 decades, through the scientific - technological revolution and open integration. Although modest, contributing to the national GDP of about US $ 2 billion / year, in width, there are over 1,000 logistics businesses across the country (this figure can now double that of Malaysia or Thailand). Vietnam has been ranked 3 times by the World Bank (LPI) in the years of 2007, 2009 and 2011, still at 53/155 countries. It means that Vietnam's logistics is standing still for 4 years, the reason may be many, but the reason is mainly due to lack of depth development. Currently, Vietnam's logistics business units are weak in finance (80% of enterprises have capital legal capital of VND 1.5-2 billion), operating singly, scattered, not connected with each other, only performing a number of services at any stage required by foreign shipping lines, such as loading and unloading, transportation Short haulage, warehousing, delivery, tallying, packaging ... In summary, as a contractor or hired as a foreigner at level 2PL (Second Party Logistics), not to mention competing for market share with International professional company, implementing management chain of operating the entire supply chain of production, circulation and distribution at levels 3PL, 4PL and 5PL.
