Abstract

Comparing the structure of the world’s bulk fleet, Vietnam can see that the bulk cargo fleet of Vietnam only focuses on small ships with a tonnage of less than 30,000 DWT while this is the type in the world that has not been further developed and the number is increasing day by day. The fleet of 20,000-30,000 DWT ships of Vietnam, considered to be the most effective, has an average age of 14.6 years, which is considered the threshold to be subject to the old ship insurance premium. The world fleet focuses on development in the 30,000-80,000 DWT segment, while in Vietnam this type of large vessel is very few.
