Training for seafarers aiming at the requirements of the Industry Evolution 4.0

Abstract
The demand for Vietnamese maritime personnel is very large. The maritime industry in the near future needs to strengthen the linkage between shipping businesses and training institutions. Vietnam has more than 3,000 km of coastline and about 1 million km2 of exclusive economic zone, located on the corridor. East-west transport corridor is very convenient for marine economic development. According to the statistics of the Vietnam Ship and Crew Registration Board - Vietnam Maritime Bureau as of June 2016, our crew members currently have about 20,500 people, from captains, deputy chiefs, chief engineers, two machines, deck officers, machine officers to the sailors, the main mechanic, electric officers, electricians, water shifts, shift workers. The training of high quality maritime personnel is always considered an important foundation. Therefore, the maritime industry in the future needs to strengthen the connection between shipping businesses and training institutions.
