In India, most Christian literature was produced in Marathi. Father Thomas Stephens composed the Christ Purana and it was from here that Christian literature gained prominence and the common people started coming to Jesus. Later, many Christian missionaries in Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Hindi, English, Bengali, etc. Christian literature was created. As a result, it became easier to preach the message of Christ.
