Abstract

Patient safety is recognized as a global priority and requires validated educational strategies that ensure clarity, applicability, and accessibility of knowledge. Educational technologies play a central role in this process, especially in supporting the training of nursing teams and the implementation of safe care practices in hospitals. This methodological study aimed to develop and validate an educational manual on patient safety for hospital nurses. The material was elaborated based on national and international guidelines and assessed by experts using the Suitability Assessment of Materials (SAM), Content Validity Index (CVI), and Content Validity Ratio (CVR), following the GRRAS. The manual, structured around the Six International Patient Safety Goals, achieved an overall CVI of 0.94. Qualitative suggestions led to language adjustments, inclusion of practical examples, and visual improvements, confirming its effectiveness as a pedagogical resource to strengthen hospital safety culture and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), promoting health and well-being for all.
